How to Relax

Back to school is always so exciting. A month in school can be extricating.

…Being an avid shopper and then halting all shopping possibilities can be even more extricating…

Here are some tools and tips I use to relax when I’m down or filled with stress (so every other day of the week).

Have A Soak
I really love Melaleuca products, they aren’t filled with a bunch of harsh chemicals and they always leave my skin feeling soft and refreshed. For my bath I use Renew Bath Oil, the mixture used in the oils leaves soft skin and the aroma helps with stress relief. Honestly, when I put this oil in my bath and the vapours hit my nose I’m instantly relaxed.
Epsom salts are also really great for relaxing tense muscles and easing stress. I soak with a little bit of epsom salt once or twice a week during mid-terms and finals to loosen my neck and back from all the hunching I do over my laptop and course books.

Clear the Room
Relaxation is something that most dream about but not all receive. Give yourself the freedom from electronics and other distractions. If you are like me and you like a bit of something in the background like music (sometimes Netflix) make sure you have your device on do not disturb mode if possible. Silence phones or just leave them completely out of the bathroom.

Continue the Relaxation
After your bath is done continue the serenity with a facial. You don’t have to get fancy with it. I use my Affina Face Wash & Toner and Facial Scrub both are absolutely amazing. After steaming in a warm bath your pores are more open so giving your face a bit of a scrub and wash will help get rid of any built up dirt.

Give Yourself A Break
After you’re done with your bath and/or facial don’t busy yourself right away. Sometimes I like to relax further with a bit of mediation time. A majority of my baths are taken after I’m done doing all my errands, homework or chores so that all I have to do after is relax.

We live in a busy world and the last thing that we actually do for ourselves is relax. We should make more of an effort to find time to relax. Facebook isn’t going anywhere. 🙂

Happy Soaking 🙂
