I Survived Black Friday

Black Friday can be many things to many people.

I usually just think of it as that day when CNN, ABC, Global and every other news broadcasting station documents how for one day a year everyone goes from homo sapien to neanderthal.

Being on a strict diet of no stress and no shopping, Black Friday is pretty much the worst thing for me to get involved in….So naturally I decided to hit the mall.

Although I am unable to shop for clothing, accessories and shoes. I am still able to purchase things like cosmetics and other beauty products.

Sephora and Bath and Body Works were my poison. My friend Sarah decided to tag along and together we took the mall by storm…not really…

The mall wasn’t all that full, no more than the regular christmas traffic, Black Friday signs were everywhere. It was a sea of red, yellow, black and white signs screaming BUY THINGS.

After shimmying my way into Sephora, making my purchases and hitting the road, Sarah needed to go to Champs. I hadn’t really missed the idea of buying anything, I actually felt like I was completely free of the shopping bug.

Watching people run around with large amounts of bags and talking about all the things they bought used to make me jealous, even competitive.

This year I was happier to have the money in my account….surprisingly.
