Today I just wanna thank the very sweet and kind Carrie from Kit Cat Tries That for nominating me for a Blogger Recognition Award 🙂 Check her page out! it’s filled with skincare and makeup reviews. I love the post on how to get money back from shopping Sephora…because who honestly don’t like getting money back after you spend it.
So as part of the award I will be nominating 15 amazing bloggers and their blog pages for you. I will also give you a little background about why I started Fashionably Eva.
- Thank the Blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
- Write a post to show your award.
- Give a brief story of how you started your blog.
- Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
- Select 15 other bloggers you want to give this award to.
- Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them and provide a link to the post you created.
HOW A STARTED:
Blogging was always an interest of mine but I didn’t really know how to go about it. I actually started my blog after I decided to challenge myself and not shop for a year (I only made it 6 months). I continued with the blog after I realized how much fun it was to share my thoughts, feelings and fashion ideas with peers and people around me. After a while it really just became a part of my daily life. I’ve been neglecting my poor blog a little, with starting up an online store and working full-time I haven’t made as much time for it as I really want to. But I love my blog like my baby and I don’t think I could ever have had this much fun and discovered so much about myself if I hadn’t have started it.
ADVICE FOR NEW BLOGGERS:
|Don’t Do it For the Fame!|
When I started my blog I didn’t have any expectations. I feel like we all want our 15mins but a blog should really be authentic to you. Write because you love what you are talking about not what you think people will like or follow for. I feel like sometimes you can tell when someone isn’t being authentic in a blog so just be you and do it for you. The likes, follows and comments will come after.
Blogging can be scary because you have to open yourself and your world up to strangers. I was so scared of the idea of sharing with random people but WordPress has been so amazing. The community here is supportive and all in all wonderful. Don’t be afraid to share your thoughts and feelings in a blogging community because there is definitely a chance someone will be in the same boat as you or like some of the same hobbies as you.
