#GIRLBOSS….In Training

Hello Lovelies,

New Logo FBBeing an entrepreneur is hard, tiring and SO worth it. I have learned so much already and taught myself how to do things I truly never thought I would be able to self-teach. My friend and I have created a website and an etsy page, started a written blog, TWO youtube channels and we still have such a long way to go. I just wanted to share some of the things I have come to realize so far while on the business women adventure.

It sounds so silly but when I started doing this I never in my life thought that I would second guess how much self promotion I would give. I was so scared to share what I was doing because I wasn’t full confident in it. I didn’t believe in what I was creating as much as I thought (sounds weird I know) but I thought that no one would understand what I was trying to do. My best friend (and business partner) would always compliment my creations but I was always second guessing myself. Believing in your brand and believing in your abilities is so important! You can’t convince someone to buy something it you aren’t even confident it your product.

When I first started I wanted to create everything. I wanted a whole collection with a ton of pieces and just an insane amount of stuff. After failing horribly with the previous season, having a huge inventory of stuff that was difficult to move and pretty much breaking even after a lot of extra work; we realized that maybe it was time to take it back and really focus on some small key things and then grow from there. We went from a huge pile of stock to a smaller inventory and a better understanding of our products. We also simplified our website. Keeping it simple in our photoshoots, advertising, web design and inventory has really made a huge difference.

Canva is an online platform that helps you create pictures and ads for your blogs, websites and social media platforms…it does a bunch more as well but I mainly use it for those. I used to spend a huge amount of time on photoshop making and editing photos and even though I got really good at creating them, it was pretty time consuming. Canva’s pre-made ads and pictures have really cut down the amount of time spent creating ads. Time is so limited and so very essential so it’s nice when you find something helps cut down your time.

Well that’s about it for now. I have way more I could write about but I’ll save it for another post. Feel free to check out our page at www.peytonalex.com and let me know what you think. Feedback is always welcome.
